"As the Program Director, Pam Peterson plans, organizes, and leads Phoenix Society’s program delivery. For nearly 20 years, Pam has coordinated and managed a variety of programs, including Phoenix WBC, Phoenix SOAR, and Peer Support Chat. She also manages and assists with educational resources for survivors, healthcare providers, and fire service professionals.
Pam began her career as a staff nurse at Spectrum Health Regional Burn Center before serving as the Nurse Manager for five years. As the Nurse Manager, she was responsible for organizing prevention, aftercare, and community outreach activities as well as securing fundraising opportunities for these programs.
Throughout her career, Pam has continued to further her education, assisted with multiple publications and presentations, as well as served on many committees and councils. More recently, Pam joined the TSA Disability Coalition and is a Co-Chair of the Aftercare Reintegration Committee. She is also a member of the American Burn Association and the National Institute for Trauma & Loss in Children."
