Phoenix Engage FAQs
The first question on the registration form asks if you are registering yourself, others, or yourself + others.
- If you would like to only register other attendees and not attend the conference, please select other.
- If you want to access to the conference, select yourself + others.
If you select either 'others' or 'myself + others,' you will see a new field that allows you to add on registrations. Please select the number of attendees you would like to sponsor to attend. If you have more than 20 guest attendees, please contact us.
During registration, you will need to enter the names and email addresses for your guests. Please have this information ready before you begin. There are two ways to upload your guest attendees' contact information:
- Upload an excel spreadsheet or word document with each guest attendee's contact information. We recommend using an excel spreadsheet with three headers: first name, last name, and email.
- Type each guest attendee's name and email in form fields.
Within 48 hours of completing the registration form, our team will email your guest attendee(s) with a special registration link allowing them to register at no cost to them. Your guest attendees need to complete the registration form to access the conference.
We recommend that you contact your guests after 48 hours and encourage them to complete their registration with the instructions in their invitation email. If a guest has not received an invitation email after 48 hours, ask them to check their junk or spam folders. If they still have not received an email, have the guest attendee reach out to our support team at info@phoenix-society.org.

As we emerge from the pandemic restrictions and constraints, we will be spending time and 'going deep' with our community partners and volunteers reimagining how we gather as a community. That is, how we can gather in a predictable, affordable, sustainable, inclusive, and safe way in 2023 and beyond. As always, we appreciate your help and best ideas as we move forward in a new era of service delivery!
Our learnings from the pandemic also solidified our view and commitment to continue building the platforms to expand programs virtually for greater reach and impact. As an organization with a global reach, many survivors connect to us through our online presence, social media, and virtual programming. We have been able to reach more survivors through our virtual programming, and we now understand the importance of increased access to community and networks. That has brought on several service enhancements for the docket, including expanding Phoenix: Engage beyond its one-day format, developing community-led affinity groups, and much more!
We thank those hospitals, burn foundations, and individuals who shared their insights and perspective when we reached out regarding in-person events this year. Your insights and feedback helped us consider the impact and restrictions some faced in participation during an uncertain and changing environment. Ultimately, we decided not to hold Phoenix WBC this year and focus on deepening our relationships with hospitals and foundations so that survivors and loved ones can have access to both national and local support services.
Yes, we will host an in-person event again. When, where, and how? We're not sure yet. We are dedicated to diving deep with survivors, supporters, partners, and volunteers to reimagine how we gather as a community. That is, how we can gather in a predictable, affordable, sustainable, inclusive, and safe way in 2023 and beyond.
Over the past two years, our learnings have also solidified our commitment to expanding our virtual programs and services. People can connect with people, regardless of geography - and want to provide support whenever and wherever it's needed. Alongside offering weekly Peer Support Chat and bi-monthly Virtual Support Group, we are deepening our relationships with hospitals and foundations so that survivors and loved ones can have access to both national and local support services.
