- Define the neuroscience of guilt, types of guilt, how to recognize guilt, and common presentations in caregivers of burn survivors.
- Compare the follow elements of guilt and its impact in burns:
- Themes of guilt/self-blame
- Trauma-related guilt
- Impact on families and non-parent caregivers
- Identify burnout vs compassion fatigue and the continuum of healing over time.
- Identify and apply evidence-based strategies to overcoming distress related to guilt.
- List characteristics of daily practices to cultivate positive emotions.
